My Story

The middle of 3 boys, raised by an amazing single mother, under difficult circumstances, I learned nothing in life is given. Collecting cans on Clinton Ave., selling roses off exit 28 (I-95S), stocking shelves at Flores Grocery Store and peeling potatoes at La Familia Restaurant (before the age of 10) taught me hard work was the answer.

Tears of sadness shed as I joined the Army were stored and later poured over the perspective seeds planted in my heart as I stepped off the helicopter and onto Baghdad, Iraq. It was then that my journey towards purpose began, and all because I realized there was more in store for me.

Coming back home and tasting different dishes lead me to a safe job with the State of Connecticut. But safe didn’t equal happiness and so my pursuit continued until I finally discovered me.

I believe that we were all blessed with a gift, unique to us, at birth, and it is our responsibility, and mission in life, to discover it within ourselves. Doing so will allow us the opportunity to unleash our purpose thus ensuring we live a life of purpose.
